How does a horned puffin avoid hungry predators? A dark color on top makes them difficult to see from above, while a light color on the underside helps them hide from those swimming below. We just added two of these beautiful birds to our Ocean Travelers exhibit!

Love puffins? We just added another horned puffin, and three pigeon guillemots, to our Diving Birds exhibit. The puffin is a female and the three guillemots are males in winter plumage.
